In August of this year I took the plunge and bought a KTM dirtbike. I have been riding a 2001 Yamaha YZ426 for the last several years and decided it was time to get something more modern and something that had a taller top gear for the inevitable highway sections that I have to cover to get to and from the trails.
I searched Craigslist high and low and finally found the right bike up in Silverthorne. The bike had 500 miles and 28 hours on the clock. The plastic was beat up a bit but all the mechanical pieces were fine.
After a quick call to the owner at 3pm, I found out that he had somebody else coming up the following morning at 9am. This was not good for me, so after getting my finances in line, I called the owner up and asked if I could come up tonight! Travis Wilcox and I hopped in his truck and made it to Silverthorne at 11pm! We finalized the transaction, loaded the truck and were back on the road by midnight!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
